World Athletics Championships 2025 Final Match time, Javelin Throw Result Live Streaming Online: Neeraj Chopra breezed through to the men’s javelin final of the 2025 World Athletics Championships on Wednesday, needing just one throw of 84.85m to secure a finals spot. The two-time Olympic and two-time Worlds medallist will now be looking to defend his title. Neeraj had won a historic gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, which made him one of the rare few athletes to hold the javelin Olympic and World title at the same time, and he will now be looking to set yet another first for Indians in athletics by winning it a second consecutive time.
Chopra will be looking to become the third male javelin thrower in history to defend the World Championships gold. Czech legend Jan Zelezny (1993, 1995), who is now Chopra’s coach, and Anderson Peters (2019, 2022), who also qualified for the final, are the other two who have won the world championships crown on two consecutive occasions. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who beat Chopra to Olympic gold in Paris last year, also qualified for the final in Tokyo later in the day. This will be the first time that Chopra will face Nadeem since the 2024 Olympics, giving him a chance to avenge his second-place finish in the French capital. Nadeem had won gold in Paris with a monster throw of 92.97m while Chopra had a best of 89.45m that night.
Sachin Yadav, the other Indian in Neeraj’s qualification group A, failed to make it past the qualification standard.

The event will have dedicated TV coverage for both morning and evening sessions with Star Sports 1 broadcasting the morning session from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM IST and Star Sports Select 2 broadcasting the evening session from 2:00 PM IST.
On Wednesday, the broadcaster announced that the JioStar Network would have a dedicated “javelin feed” for both days.
