The entire Russian team has been banned from competing at Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. There were reports of widespread state-sponsored doping which led to the ban.
Earlier the Russian Athletics team had been banned from participating at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Richard McLaren had guided a report in which he mentioned about state-doping.
Though few Russian teams were cleared for competing at the Olympics in Rio, but the World anti-doping Agency as well as countries like united States and Canada had called for a total ban on the Russian Olympic contingent.
