Rajasthan Royals’ Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma pulled off two stunning catches off Trent Boult’s bowling to send back both Kolkata Knight Riders’ openers Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

Roy was the first to fall as he tried a pull shot which everyone, including the commentators thought would go over the ropes but Hetmyer had other ideas. The West Indies player came running across from deep square leg and timed his jump to perfection. He then balanced himself so as to not overstep the boundary rope and clinched on to the ball.

In the 5th over, Gurbaz slammed a shot to the right of mid-off but Sandeep dived with both hands and held onto the ball like his life depended on it.

In the match, Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson opted to bowl against Kolkata Knight Riders after winning the toss in their must-win IPL clash, here on Thursday.

Kiwi speedster Boult returned replacing left-arm speedster Kuldip Yadav, while KM Asif was brought in for Murugan Ashwin in two changes for RR.

KKR opted for a three-pronged spin attack including left-arm spinner Anukul Roy in place of seamer Vaibhav Arora. KKR have three front-line spinners in Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma, while skipper Nitish Rana is also a part-time off-spinner.
