Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was seen talking to his wife Ritika on a video call after a nail-biting contest against Delhi Capitals in which he received Player Of the Match performance for his 65-run knock.
Ritika congratulated Rohit and said their daughter Samaira Sharma will be happy for the trophy. Rohit gives a cheeky response by saying “Samy is happy to see the trophy, not my batting”. The 35-year-old later adds he will get the trophy for his daughter.
In a nail-biting contest, Mumbai Indians won the game of the last ball. ” I was screaming so loud my voice is completely gone it was a crazy game,” said Ritika.
Rohit Sharing his experience said ” I went inside didn’t want to see the last over man my nails are gone. I have been part of this game this kind of game a lot In these 15 years of IPL. I have seen this a lot.”
MI chased down the target of 173 in the last ball with captain Rohit Sharma top-scoring with 65 from 45 balls. Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan chipped in with 41 and 31 respectively.
Earlier, Axar Patel struck 54 off just 25 balls to help DC post 172 all out after being invited to bat. Patel’s knock was studded with four boundaries and five sixes. Captain David Warner chipped in with 51.
Piyush Chawla was the most successful bowler for MI with three wickets while Jason Behrendorff took wickets.
With the victory Mumbai Indians have registered their first win on the board and Delhi Capitals remain winless after four games.
