Gujarat Titans batter David Miller says that Sai Sudharshan is a ‘seriously talented’ player and that he wants him in the squad.
“To come and do what he’s done in the last two games is very encouraging for the team. He is a seriously talented player and we need him in the squad,” said Miller in the post match conference.
Sudharsan scored an unbeaten 62 off 48 balls as Titans tamed Delhi Capitals for their second win of the season.
“It’s nice to see him do really well. Pretty happy with his performance and it’s great to see him get the Man of the Match award,” he added.
Speaking on GT skipper Hardik Pandya, Miller said he feels privileged to play under him and that he instills a lot of confidence in the team.
“Hardik is definitely one of the top leaders I have worked with. I’m very privileged to work under him,”
“He is his own person and I feel like he instills a lot of confidence within the squad. A huge team man, makes time for the younger guys as well as making good decisions and big calls,” he said.
“I’m really enjoying his leadership and obviously the decisions on the field,” he added.
Opting to bowl, Pandya made some smart bowling changes to restrict home team Delhi Capitals to 162/8 before winning the game by six wickets with 11 balls to spare.
Speaking about the same, Miller said, “We have been very calm through our chasing and confidence has a big part to play. Being very successful over the last season and the last two games…definitely take a lot of confidence from it as a team.”
