IPL 2019, MI vs DC Highlights:

23:52 (IST)24 Mar 2019
OUT!

McClenaghan stumped by Pant off Tewatia. Bumrah not coming out to bat because of his injury so Delhi Capitals beat Mumbai Indians by 37 runs.

23:49 (IST)24 Mar 2019
OUT! YUVRAJ DEPARTS

Rabada bowls two wides and then Yuvraj holes out and deep midwicket. That should be the end of the game. A good innings from Yuvraj, he made 53 off 35 balls.

23:43 (IST)24 Mar 2019
46 to win off 12

Boult kept it tight but the batsmen somehow squeeze out two fours from that over. It will still take some sensational hitting for MI to win this match.

23:40 (IST)24 Mar 2019
MI need 55 off 18 balls

Yuvraj is on strike. McClenaghan had hit a funky shot for four towards short fine leg.

23:33 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Wankhede is singing Yuvraj's name

The veteran superstar smashes two sixes off Axar Patel and the Wankhede crowd has found its voice again. This is vintage Yuvraj Singh we are getting to see here. There is still a long, long way to go but the crowd would remember what this man could do in his heydays. If he can repeat that, MI are very much in the chase here.

23:27 (IST)24 Mar 2019
WICKET! Krunal Falls

Boult strikes again. Krunal looking for a big shot again and ends up holing out at deep midwicket. He smashed 32 runs in 15 balls and MI are on 134/6.

23:22 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Krunal Pandya

Well he is playing a blinder here. Four fours and a six and he has raced to 26 off 11 balls. Yuvraj, meanwhile, is on 32 off 24. Mumbai Indians are not down and out yet.

23:14 (IST)24 Mar 2019
OUT!

Hardik Pandya out for a duck, hits the ball straight back at the bowler Axar Patel. It will take nothing less than a miracle for Mumbai to win it from here now.

23:12 (IST)24 Mar 2019
WICKET! Pollard dismissed!

Pollard drives at the knuckle-ball from Keemo Paul, simple catch for Tewatia to execute. That could be the game. This was a nice little partnership and a worrying one for DC and that has been broken.

23:02 (IST)24 Mar 2019
SIX! FOUR!

Yuvraj stands his ground and sends Axar Patel over point and then despatches a bad ball for four. Yuvraj and Pollard are keeping MI in the game here.

22:57 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Time out

Yuvraj and Pollard are in the middle. The current rate is 7.66, almost half of what their required rate is. Mumbai have a long, long way to go and Delhi are about three steps ahead of them at this point. 69/3 after 9 overs.

22:49 (IST)24 Mar 2019
OUT! De Kock departs

And now MI's hopes are slipping away. De Kock holes out to fine leg off Boult and the Kiwi gets his man. MI well and truly in trouble.

22:35 (IST)24 Mar 2019
OUT! SENSATIONAL FROM SHREYAS IYER!

Yadav goes for a quick single but then Shreyas Iyer witha a gun throw from mid-off that takes off the stump. The batsman nowhere in the frame.

22:27 (IST)24 Mar 2019
WICKET! ROHIT SHARMA

Sharma gets Sharma! Rohit is caught at deep square leg and Ishant raises his hands triumphantly while keeping his eyes fixed on Rohit. This is a big moment in the match.

22:24 (IST)24 Mar 2019
17 runs off the third over

Quinton de Kock gives Trent Boult a hiding. First a four between midwicket and mid-on, then a six over midwicket and then another four past short fine leg.

22:16 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Five runs off the first over...

... And Shreyas Iyer has given the ball to Ishant Sharma. Well that is unexpected but surprises have been a theme of this evening so far.

22:15 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Mumbai Indians

They have a mountain to climb now but they have two players who are capable of at least getting them off to an ideal start, if not take them all the way. Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma, who have been on top of their games of late, open the batting, Trent Boult starts the Capitals attack. He should be rotating with Kagiso Rabada for the first few overs.

21:57 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Bumrah

Indian fans will be worried after seeing what happened off that last ball. Bumrah with an inch perfect yorker that Pant sent back in his direction. Bumrah attempts to field it and in the process, seemed to have hurt his shoulder. He was on the ground for some time, clutching the aching part before getting up and hobbling off. If Virat Kohli was watching this, those images of Bumrah on the ground writhing in pain would have resembled something he must have seen in his worst nightmares leading up to the IPL.

21:55 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Delhi Capitals 213/6 off 20 overs

Rishabh Pant 78 runs off 24 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes. Delhi smashed 99 runs in the last six overs. Pant struggled in that first over of his and then he made every bowler he faced look like school kids.

21:47 (IST)24 Mar 2019
21 runs off the 19th

And only one of those was scored by Tewatia. Pant has completely silenced the Wankhede crowd. He is hitting sixes and fours for fun and is now on 71 off 24 balls.

21:40 (IST)24 Mar 2019
SIX!

UTTERLY RIDICULOUS FROM PANT. Bumrah bowls it full on middle and leg, Pant stands his ground and swings it over backward square leg boundary like it's no big deal.

21:35 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Pant on fire

Well it doesn't matter how many wickets fall down the other end, Pant just keeps hitting it. The next ball from McClenaghan rises to his shoulder and Pant swats it to the fine leg boundary. He has raced to 41 off 15 balls.

21:29 (IST)24 Mar 2019
SIX! FOUR! SIX!

And now Pant is getting into his groove. Hardik Pandya bowls two short deliveries and Pant punishes him with two sixes. In between the two, he bowled a length ball and that was sent over wide mid-off for a one-bounce four.

21:16 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Pant struggles

Hardik Pandya makes a solid comeback after the carnage he suffered at the hands of Ingram and Dhawan earlier. 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1 is how that over went and all those dot balls were faced by Pant.

21:10 (IST)24 Mar 2019
WICKET!

Ingram tries to send it over the ropes of Cutting and ends up getting caught at deep midwicket by Hardik Pandya. Breakthrough at last for the Mumbai Indians. The Ingram-Dhawan stand ends at 83.

21:06 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Cutting brought into the attack

MI need a wicket desperately. DC have crossed 100 in the 13th over of the match and Dhawan and Ingram are looking well settled.

20:57 (IST)24 Mar 2019
FOUR!

Fullish delivery from Krunal and Ingram smmmmmooookes it to the long on boundary. That ball was at warp speed when it crossed the ropes.

20:51 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Dhawan-Ingram stand into the 40's

The pair have somewhat made up for the early wickets that fell during McClenaghan's spell. Delhi Capitals are on a healthy 70/2 off 9 overs.

20:50 (IST)24 Mar 2019
SIX!

Short ball from Hardik, Ingram sees it early and sends it flying into the stands. This is turning out to be a good partnership between Dhawan and Ingram.

20:39 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Play restarts

Salam to continue but that is only after some confusion about who is supposed to be on strike is solved. Dhawan should have been there but Ingram was at the striker's end for some reason. Rohit Sharma tells Dhawan that he should be on strike and the latter nods his head and goes to the other end.

20:36 (IST)24 Mar 2019
End of powerplay...

... and the umpires call for a timeout. It has been a good show from the Mumba Indians so far. They got Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer, two very dangerous batsmen. But the Capitals have a lot of firepower. They have Dhawan and Colin Ingram in the middle and Rishabh Pant and Keemo Paul are yet to come.

20:32 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Five overs gone

Mumbai Indians have an advantage in these first five overs but Delhi Capitals have not fallen too far behind yet. Rohit has thus far used Salam and McClenaghan and then he gave the fifth over to Bumrah. The sixth to be bowled by Hardik Pandya.

20:26 (IST)24 Mar 2019
OUT! POLLARD TAKES A BLINDER!

Oh, that is a good candidate for catch of the season! Iyer with a good looking cover drive that looked destined to reach the boundary but big man Pollard dives to his right, catches the ball with his outstretched hand mid-air and holds on as he crashes down to the ground. McClenaghan gets a second but this one belongs to Pollard.

20:24 (IST)24 Mar 2019
SIX!

The first maximum of the day is off the willow of Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer. He had a lot of room and Iyer opens his hands to smash it over mid-off.

20:15 (IST)24 Mar 2019
WICKET! Shaw falls early

Mitch McClenaghan delivers, as he does always. Shaw had hit him for a four off the previous ball. This time, McClenaghan sends it a little wider than the previous one and a tad bit fuller. Shaw looks to drive on the up, ends up nicking the ball to the keeper.

20:08 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Six runs off the first over

The first ball Salam bowled was a no ball and then Shikhar Dhawan was caught in the deep off the free hit delivery. It has been a good start from the youngster.

20:02 (IST)24 Mar 2019
The players are out

Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan open the Delhi batting, Rohit Sharma has thrown the ball to 17-year-old debutant Rasikh Salam.

19:52 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Meanwhile in Kolkata

KKR are pulling off a stunning chase largely thanks to the beast that is Andre Russell. LIVE

MI win the toss, elect to field first

Yuvraj Singh to start for Mumbai. How about that for an unexpected decision! No Evin Lewis or Ishan Kishan. Rasikh Salam, a medium pacer from Jammu and Kashmir a start. Wow, MI have stumped everyone before the match starts.

19:40 (IST)24 Mar 2019
Guess who's back

Sachin Tendulkar calls this stadium his home and had played his last Test match here. Sourav Ganguly is also here, although he is on the opposing end but that won't reduce any love for that the Mumbai crowd will be having for a man who is considered one of the greatest captains India have ever had.

19:38 (IST)24 Mar 2019
The Wankhede

The hallowed cricket ground that was the scene of India's 2011 World Cup win is buzzing with the city hoping that its demigods give them some thrills once again.

Hello and welcome!

The last time the initials DC was used in the IPL was in 2012 season, the last time the tournament saw the participation of the erstwhile Deccan Chargers. Those initials worked well for them as they won the title once and remained one of the most dangerous sides in the league throughout its existence. Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma, who started off at Deccan Chargers, faces another DC today, the Delhi Capitals. They are a new team and also have some new players, especially Rohit's national opening partner Shikhar Dhawan. It should be an interesting match, this.

MI vs DC, IPL 2019 Live Cricket Score Streaming Online: The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore were deflated by Chennai Super Kings in the season opener as the yellow army secured a comprehensive seven-wicket win in the first encounter of the season. On Sunday, the action will shift from Chennai to Kolkata, where two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders will host previous season's runners up Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The second match of the day will be played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium. The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai unit would look to start their campaign on a high after finishing fifth in the previous season. Delhi, on the other hand, will heavily bank on the Indian duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant, who are also looking to cement their spot in the 15-man World Cup squad.
