Batting first, Delhi Capitals put up 228/4 — the highest total of the IPL 2020 season so far. Prithvi Shaw’s 66 was the most decisive contribution in the first half of the innings. However, it was in the last 10 overs — with Shreyas Iyer (88 not out off 38 balls) hitting top gear that DC added 139 runs, crossing the mark for the highest total of the season. With all KKR bowlers being hit for runs, Andre Russell’s figures of 2/29 stood out. In the chase, Nitish Rana (58) held together the first half of the innings, till Eoin Morgan (44) and Rahul Tripathi (36) smashed a few sixes at the end of the chase to take KKR close. Anrich Nortje (3/33), who also delivered the killing blow by taking the wicket of Morgan, stood out among DC bowlers.

After a thrilling Super Over win against Mumbai Indians, Virat Kohli has again led his team from the front against Rajasthan Royals as they chase the target of 155 with five balls to spare. Devdutt Padikkal scored a solid 63, but it was the captain who landed the final blow with his 72-run knock. Rajasthan falter again as they succumb to their second straight defeat.
Curran comes in to maintain the late pressure, but it's Kohli. The captain just moves perfectly and hits him for a straight drive to the ropes. Kohli (68*) lessens the equation with two fours on the final two balls. ABD's just enjoying the show. RCB: 143/2 (18 overs)
After Tewatia was smashed for a mighty six for Kohli's fifty, Archer has been given the ball for the first death over. But there's no deterring Padikkal as he hits Archer for a boundary on his backfoot. Archer bites back by simply removing the bails of the batsman as he departs for 63.
