India captain Rohit Sharma lost his cool during the second T20I between India and Bangladesh when the giant screen displayed not out because of a glitch. The incident came even as wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was having a mixed day behind the stumps. Pant’s goof-up behind the stumps robbed Yuzvendra Chahal of Liton Das’ wicket in the sixth over, as the wicket-keeper collected the ball before it had crossed the stumps to effect a stumping. The third umpire rightly called it a no-ball and gave the batsman not out.

In the 13th over, the wicketkeeper had stumped Soumya Sarkar of Chahal’s bowling and it was referred to the third umpire.

However, though the third umpire gave Sarkar out, the giant screen displayed not out due to a glitch. Sharma was visibly upset with the decision and swore at the screen while standing next to the on-field umpire.

However, the decision was changed immediately afterwards and the Bangladeshi opener was sent back to the dressing room.

Indian fielders had another sloppy day in the field with unnecessary throws resulting in extra runs, and Das being dropped by the Indian skipper inside the 30-yard circle in the seventh over.

However, the 32-year-old Sharma made up for his sloppy work in the field with his batting. The Indian opener scored 85 runs from 43 balls including six fours and six sixes making the target of 154 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot look easy.

This was the third time Rohit had registered a score in 80s against Bangladesh in T20Is. A win in the second T20I levelled the three-match series. The two teams will lock horns in the decider on Sunday, November 10 at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
