Dacoits struck at the bungalow of Sayaji Manglu Borse,brother of BJP MLA from Satana,Umaji Borse,at village Ladud in Satana taluka in the district last night and fled with cash and valuables worth Rs 21 lakh after assaulting him and his son.
Seven dacoits,armed with iron bars,lathis and country- made pistols,entered the bungalow around 11.30 pm.
After beating up Borse and his son,they took away Rs 12,000 cash,60 tola of gold and other valuables collectively worth around Rs 21 lakh,police said.
Police have launched a manhunt in the area. Sayaji Borse,who received injury to head,is being treated at the local government hospital.
