As the story of Navjot Singh Sidhu’s probable exit from politics gained momentum during the day,Congress MLA from Amritsar West,Raj Kumar Verka,invited him to join Congress. “I have sent the proposal to Rahul Gandhi to welcome Navjot Sidhu in Congress. Sidhu’s mother fought on Congress ticket for MLA twice. His father remained Patiala district president of Congress. The children should follow the footsteps of parents. Sidhu made a mistake by joining BJP. He is the right man in wrong party. I invite him to come back to the party with which his parents were associated,” Verka said in Amritsar on Thursday.
