Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, who also holds the health portfolio, said on Thursday that the success stories of homeopathy treatment in the state should be given more publicity.

“Our treatment procedures need publicity. Success stories are not highlighted that much. I feel that there is some shortfall in this in Tripura,” Saha said while speaking at a programme held at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day.

Although there are famous homeopathy doctors in the state, more are needed, said Saha, who is also an oral and maxillo-facial surgeon.

In 2024, Saha announced a plan to launch Ayurveda and homeopathy medical colleges in the state.

The Ministry of AYUSH has taken several initiatives to promote Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and homeopathy systems of alternative medicine throughout the country.
