Manipur Governor Ajay Bhalla convened a meeting with Kuki-Zo BJP MLAs at Churachandpur ahead of the likely visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 13.
The meeting, held at the DC office of the district, was attended by Ngursanglur Sanate from Tipaimukh (ST), Vungzagin Valte from Thanlon (ST), Letzamang Haokip from Henglep (ST), L M Khaute from Churachandpur (ST), and Paolienlal Haokip from Saikot (ST), along with BJP Churachandpur district president Thanglam Haokip.

While the agenda of the meeting is yet to be ascertained, sources said that it could be in connection with the preparatory measures for the PM’s visit taken up in the district. The PM is likely to visit two locations, including Kangla in Imphal and Churachandpur district, a Kuki-Zo-dominated district.
