The Odisha government has censured an Indian Police Service officer for insulting an inspector under his command and using derogatory language against him. The state’s home department said that Special Task Force SP Satyajit Naik, a 2008 batch officer, was “rude and arrogant in his official dealings” towards K C Mohanty, who retired on February 28. “Such conduct is unbecoming on the part of the MOS (Naik) and recurrence of such behaviour would invite major penalty proceeding,” the department said in an order on Friday.
