J&K: Anantnag school building damaged in fire

The cause of the fire is being ascertained.

A school building was partially damaged in a blaze in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said today.

The fire broke out in Government High School at Larnoo in Kokernag area of the district during the night, a police official said.

He said the fire damaged the rooftop of the single-storey building.

The flames were brought under control by police and Fire and Emergency Department personnel, the official said, adding that no was injured in the incident.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained, the official said.
