Gaya: Two killed as truck hits auto-rickshaw on Tekari-Delha highway

Two persons were killed and as many injured when an LPG cylinder-laden truck hit a stationary auto-rickshaw from behind on Tekari-Delha state highway near Kehsru Dharmpur village under Chandauti police station area of Gaya district today.

Chandauti police station SHO Chandrabhanu said that the incident occurred when Ramesh Kumar along with his wife, daughter, niece and son was going to his in-laws place to attend the wedding of his brother-in-law in the auto-rickshaw.

The deceased has been identified as auto-rickshaw driver Upendra Prasad (35), auto-rickshaw driver and Ramesh Kumar’s niece Shobha Kumari (14).

The injured were Ramesh Kumar’s 12-year-old son Nitish Kumar and another person who was standing near the auto-rickshaw which had developed a snag. A leg of Ramesh Kumar’s 12-year-old son Nitish Kumar had to be amputated, the SHO said.
