CHANDIGARH, Aug 11: Executive engineer (Roads) Harsh Kumar and sub-divisional officer Gurpreet Singh’s judicial remand was further extended till August 25 by UT Additional District and Sessions Judge S. S. Lamba, here today.
Booked in the Engineering Department kickbacks case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, along with Section 406, 409, 420 and 120-B ofIPC, the duo had surrendered before the UT Vigilance Department on June 19.
According to the prosecution, certain diaries recovered by the income-tax authorities had mentioned their names as the recipients of illegal gratification.
