The world’s biggest theme park featuring famous Peanuts characters will be opened in the year 2004 in Shunde City in South China’s booming province of Guangdong.
The sprawling Snoopy fun garden and the Snoopy playground, occupying more than 550,000 sqr meters has been built with a total investment of about USD 12.2 million, media reports here said.
‘‘It will be the biggest Snoopy park in the world and the first one of its kind in the Chinese mainland upon its completion,’’ Xinhua News Agency reported.
The project is expected to strengthen the attractiveness of the Pearl River delta as a tourist destination in Southern China, an official from the project’s investor Shunde Jiaxin realty development said.
