A three-day-long Wedding Asia – Royal Jewels exhibition concluded on Sunday. Fashion jewellery, home-accessories and bridal were put on display at the exhibition.

At MB Jewellers and Sons stall, a set of diamond bangles costing Rs 2 crore was the main attraction. A bangle costing Rs 85 lakhs and another priced at Rs 65 lakhs were also attracting a lot of rush at the stall.

But if you ask Mayank Soni from MB Jewellers, he simply says, “We have already sold these products in Ludhiana and are now finding new buyers.” Heritage jewellery of Victorian and Mughal era has been preserved by the jewellers for the last 300 years because their fifth generation is now in this profession. So old designs are still hot selling.

Not only this, one can even try heavy lehengas with zari, aari and stone work as well. At Lusture Store’s stall, Rs 1.5 lakh lehanga designed in red colour is the new design on display. It weighs 20 kg. But the designer smiles and says, “It is not a big deal.”
