Youth shot dead by militants in J&K

Militants tonight shot dead a youth in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district,official sources said here.

Shamsuddin Mir alias Jana was shot at by militants outside his residence at Chanakhan in Sopore town,52 kms from here,at around 8.30 pm,the sources said.

The 25-year-old youth died on the spot,they said.

Mir,a roadside vendor by occupation,was killed as the ultras suspected him to be an informer of the security forces,the sources said.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
