Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta N K Mehrotra will continue in office for another two years as Governor B L Joshi gave his assent to an ordinance sent by the UP government,extending the term of the state Lokayukta from six to eight years with retrospective effect from March 15.

Mehrotra’s six-year term had ended on March 15.
