Sugar prices dropped further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists amidst good supplies.
Small Sugar (S-30) slid by Rs 39 per quintal to Rs 2,892/2,972 from Tuesday’s closing level of Rs 2,892/3,011.
Medium sugar (M-30) slipped by Rs 15 per quintal to Rs 2,961/3,092 from Monday’s closing level of Rs 2,976/3,092.
The following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal),with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,892/2,972 (Rs 2,892/3,011).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,961/3,092 (Rs 2,976/3,092).
