Steel Strips Wheels (SSW) on Thursday said its sales rose by 19.7 per cent to 8.42 lakh wheel rims,used in the automotive sector,in February.
The company had sold 7.04 lakh wheel rims in the same month last year,SSW said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
SSW produces mainly passenger car wheels at its Dappar (near Chandigarh) and Oragadam (near Chennai) facilities and truck wheels at its Jamshedpur unit.
The total capacity of the company is 12.5 million wheels per annum and it is in the process of taking the capacity to 16 million wheels a year by the beginning of the next fiscal.
