In a scathing attack on Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and his ministers,former Karnataka minister B Sreeramulu on Sunday said they had failed to solve the problems of people reeling under severe drought. Sreeramulu,an independent MLA,alleged that Gowda did not visit drought-hit areas and most of the time was in Bangalore with his ministers trying to save the government from collapsing.
They dont have time for alleviating problems of people including farmers, Sreeramulu said at an event in Bangalore to launch his new party Badavara Shramikara Raitara (BSR) Congress.
Himachal BJP crisis: Gadkari calls Dhumal,Shanta to Delhi
With factional feud in Himachal BJP coming into the open,party president Nitin Gadkari is understood to have summoned senior leaders from the poll-bound state,including CM P K Dhumal and his bete noire Shanta Kumar,to Delhi to resolve the crisis.
The latest round of acrimony precipitated after BJP MLA Khushi Ram Balnatah demanded change in leadership,prompting the party to issue a show-cause notice to him for indiscipline. State Health Minister Rajiv Bindal has been appointed state general secretary and he has announced that he will resign from the Cabinet on June 25.
