Days after removing him,the Congress today claimed its spokesperson of several years,K K Mishra, was a mole of the ruling BJP. Mishra had not only taken monetary and other favours from the ruling party but was also a confidant of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Congress said.
It said a committee headed by former home minister Satyadev Katare would visit Mishras hometown Indore and submit a report within a week. The party demanded that Mishras call details be made public.
The BJP rejected the Congress claim. Mishra himself hit back with a jibe at state Congress chief Kantilal Bhuria, whose aide reportedly got a licence for a liquor distillery recently, and claimed he had exposed more BJP ministers, bureaucrats and RSS leaders than anyone else.
Mishra is among the beneficiaries of a monthly pension given by the BJP government to people jailed during the Emergency. The Congress also wondered why Mishra was the only spokesperson to be provided security by the government.
Mishra denied the charges.
