RailwayS Minister Mallikarjun Kharge has directed officials to run special trains to aid rescue of stranded people.
Special trains will run from Dehradun,Rishikesh and Haridwar. The Moradabad Division has been asked to arrange trains for the stranded passengers. Special counters will be opened at stations for these passengers. The Railways Ministry has set up a team to monitor the operations round-the-clock.
Mamata sends minister
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has sent her Transport Minister Madan Mitra to Haridwar to coordinate efforts to rescue the stranded Bengali tourists.
