The station officer of Hathigawan police station,Manoj Shukla, has told the CBI that it was Raja Bhaiyas driver Sanjay Pratap Singh alias Guddu Singh who first informed him about village pradhan Nanhe Lal Yadavs murder on March 2.

Shukla has reportedly told the CBI that Guddu Singh called him up around 7.55 pm and told him that Nanhe Lal had been shot around 7.30 pm.

Following that information,DSP Zia-ul-Haque went to Balipur village, where he was killed later in the night. Nanhe Lals brother,Suresh, was also killed the same night.

Shukla has told the CBI that Guddu Singhs brothers,Rajeev and Ajit, who have been named in the pradhans murder, were at their house in Balipur village when the three murders took place.

The police have arrested Guddu Singh and Rajeev. Guddu Singh has been named in all the three murders. He is accused of criminal conspiracy in the murders of Nanhe Lal and Suresh Yadav, and of actually carrying out the killing of the DSP. Rajeev has been named in the murder of Nanhe Lal. Sources said the call records showed frequent calls between Guddu Singh and three of his co-accused named in the complaint filed by Haques wife,Parveen Azad, after Nanhe Lals death. The calls started about 15 minutes after the pradhans murder and continued till Guddu Singh was arrested on March 4.

However, the call detail records also show that none of the four was in the area when the three murders took place. Sources said even the circumstantial evidence does not support the presence of the four men in the village that night.

Shukla and suspended Kunda SHO Sarvesh Mishra have told the CBI that a mob of about 200 locals, carrying firearms and sticks, had assembled in the village after the pradhans murder. The mob burnt down the house of Kamta Pal,one of the alleged killers of the pradhan.
