Journalism of Courage
Som Shekhar,director and producer of Chitra Creations,organised the audio release of his film Muskurake Dekh Zara at a Mumbai suburban banquet. Gashmeer Mahajani and Twinkle Patel,the lead pair,performed to some songs from the film. Atul Parchure,Reshma Merchant,Simran,Hiten Paintal,Khayali,Chirag,music director Wajid and Manoj Bajpai also attended.
Ustad Alladiya Khans festival
This festival is held every year from April 1 to 4. Ustad Alladiya Khan (1855-1946) is the founder of Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana to which several contemporary titans belong. The Ustad was the court musician of the Kolhapur king Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj. Alladiya Khan won the title Gana Samrat (Emperor Of Music). He is also recognised for his revival and creations of many raags.
Varada Godbole Vocal,Uday Bhawalkar Dhrupad,Vidya Dengale Violin and Dr. Mrityunjay Agdi Vocal will participate in the festival.
