Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th June 2010.
The day long programme focused on spreading awareness for protection of environment through use of environment friendly natural gas and other measures such as tree plantation.
The celebrations began with distribution of saplings to the CNG autorickshaw and taxi drivers at MGLs CNG outlets at Bandra-Kurla Complex,City Gate Station- Wadala and Tardeo.
During this celebration programme ,Shri V.C.Chittoda,Managing Director of MGL addressed the auto drivers at MGLs CNG outlet in BKC,emphasizing the necessity of tree plantation and the use of CNG for a cleaner and greener environment.
Besides, this initiative there were other interactive programmes at various housing societies in Mumbai,Thane and Navi Mumbai to emphasize the need to save environment for a better future.
