L&T Q3 net up 11 pct to Rs 840.63 cr

Larsen & Toubro reported a jump of 10.78 per cent in net profit for the December quarter at Rs 840.63 crore.

The infrastructure major had a net profit of Rs 758.82 crore in the October-December quarter last fiscal,Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income also rose to Rs 11,413.08 crore in the third quarter ended December 31,2010 against Rs 8,145.61 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal,it added.

Shares of the company closed the day at Rs 1,681.15,down 1.65 per cent from the previous close on BSE.
