Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa on Monday reshuffled her cabinet. A Mohammed John was made Minister for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare to fill the vacancy created by the death of N Mariam Pitchai in an accident.
C Shanmugavelu was replaced as Industries Minister by S P Velmuni,who was Minister for Special Programme Implementation.

Shanmugavelu will be Minister for Rural Industries,replacing M C Sampath,who was given charge of Special Programme Implementation. Animal Husbandry Minister C Karuppasamy exchanged his portfolio with Sports Minister N R Sivapathy.
