Former Madhya Pradesh MLA Ashok Veer Vikram Singh alias Bhaiyya Raja was given life imprisonment Thursday for murdering his grandniece who had threatened to expose him after suffering prolonged sexual exploitation at his hands.
The body of Vasundhara Bundela,a 21-year-old student of fashion designing,was found in Misrod near Bhopal on December 11,2009. She had spent the previous night at Singhs bungalow.
A month before her murder,Vasundhara had had an abortion at a clinic in Indore. She had told her mother about being abused by Singh.
Singh has his political base in Chhattarpur. His wife Asharani is the BJP MLA from Bijawar in the district.
