Malegaon blast accused Dayanand Pandey wants to contest the Lok Sabha polls. Pandey,who has been in custody since last November,moved an application before the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court saying that he wishes to work for society.

Though Pandey has not mentioned the constituency he wishes to contest from,his lawyer confirmed that Pandey has shown willingness to contest from Jammu. He has been very active in Jammu and wants to convert it into votes, said advocate Naveen Chomal. Pandey in his application has said that he has actively worked for Hinduism and fought for the protection of Hindus.

Earlier,Malegaon blast accused retired Major Ramesh Upadhyay had moved an application seeking permission to contest polls.
