Corp Bank Q2 net up 14.04% to Rs 401.11 cr

The bank had registered a net profit of Rs 351.73 crore for the July-September period of 2010.

Public sector lender Corporation Bank today posted a 14.04 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 401.11 crore for the second quarter ended September 30,2011.

The bank had registered a net profit of Rs 351.73 crore for the July-September period of 2010.

Total income of the bank rose to Rs 3,489.47 crore during the quarter from Rs 2,389.24 crore in the same period last fiscal,Corporation Bank said in a filing to the BSE today.

During the first six months of the current fiscal,net profit of the bank rose by 9.78 per cent to Rs 752.56 crore from Rs 685.51 crore in the corresponding period of 2010-11,it said.

The bank’s total income during April-September,2011,rose to Rs 6,757.48 crore from Rs 4,678.09 crore in the same period last fiscal,it added.

Shares of Corporation Bank were up by 2.59 per cent at Rs 425.40 in late afternoon trade on the BSE.
