Private equity firm Carlyle Group said on Thurdsay it had invested $25 million in India’s Visen Industries Ltd,a maker of water-based polymer emulsions.
Visen makes polymers used in paints,textiles,adhesives and construction.
Carlyle’s investment is from its $1.0 billion fund,Carlyle Asia Growth Partners IV (CAGP IV).
CAGPIV invests in high growth companies in key Asian markets such as India,China and Korea.
