BJP Vadodara MP Balkrishna Shukla put the party in a spot on Saturday by attacking Ratan Tata,even likening him to Satyams disgraced ex-chief Ramalinga Raju,at a press meet here.
His comments,in reaction to Tata remark that it was under the NDA government that most of the flip-flops in the telecom sector occurred,run contary to the warm relationship Gujarat shares with the Tata group since it set up its Nano plant in Sanand.
Hours after Shuklas remarks,Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Rupani tried to contain the damage saying,Tata is a reputed industrialist and we respect him. Pressed further on Tatas statements,he said he had not gone into the depth of the matter.
