Another one bites the dust,literally speaking. Bipasha Basu is the next Bollywood actor to sign an international project. She will be doing director Roland Joffés film titled Singularity. She is presently in Brisbane till the last week of December to first rehearse and then shoot for the film.
Joffé,who has directed acclaimed movies like City Of Joy,The Killing Fields,The Mission,Goodbye Lover and Captivity,was in India in September for the casting of the film,which is written by Ajey Jhankar.
The film is an epic romance set across two time periods and continents and is centered around four characters ; a British officer in colonial India,the Indian woman he falls in love with,an American marine biologist and his lover,who is a researcher trapped in a wrecked British merchant ship. A major portion of the film will be shot in India as the story revolves around Marathas in 1780s India. Australia is another location for the shoot. The film also stars Chris Pine,Josh Hartnett,Olga Kurylenko,Christopher Egan,Abhay Deol,Shane Briant and others. It is expected to release some time in 2011.
