SP ticket for axed Maya minister
Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party has named Rajpal Tyagi,who was sacked by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati from the cabinet last month,as its candidate from the Muradnagar constituency in Ghaziabad. Tyagi was named in place of Dishant Tyagi by state SP president Akhilesh Yadav,SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said. Tyagi was minister for agriculture,education and research.
BJP,CPI pass Ramdev test
DehraDun: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has asked people to vote for the BJP and the CPI in all five states that are going to polls. Speaking in Uttarakhand,he asked voters to reject other parties that have failed to accept genuine issues of bringing back black money and corruption. He said that he had written to all political parties seeking their acceptance of seven points,including the declaration of black money stashed in foreign banks as national assets. Only the BJP and the CPI declared their acceptance,he said.
