Altogether 43 solar panel plates installed in a lighting project in the Raj Bhavan here have been stolen,official sources said today.
The plates worth Rs 6,19,200 had been installed at a kitchen garden in the Raj Bhavan premises from where they were reported stolen by the contractor yesterday.
Altogether 130 solar plates had been installed in the sprawling garden as part of the 30 KW project,out of which 43 were missing,the sources said.
The project was initiated last month and is due to be completed ahead of the Independence Day celebration where the Governor R S Mooshahary will host an official function of the state.
An FIR was lodged with the police in connection with the incident.
