CHENNAI, JUNE 10: Chief Vigilance Commissioner N Vittal has said that Vigilance Week’ will be observed during October this year on the occasion of the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Speaking after inaugurating Fifth Pillar TN’, a forum to fight corruption yesterday, he said corruption was the “Aids of the Indian society as it involved financial adultery”. Corruption was “low risk high profit” activity. It had to be made high risk by introducing the element of fear into the corrupt, Vittal added.
