The core Plan size for Uttar Pradesh for 2003-04 has been pegged at Rs 7,728 crore. The Annual Plan for the state was approved on Tuesday in a meeting between the Planning Commission Deputy Chairman K. C. Pant and Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati.
The Plan size could be raised to Rs 9,000 crore by the Commission if the state delivered its promise of mobilising additional resources to the tune of Rs 1,272 crore.
