At least two persons were feared killed and 22 injured, six of them seriously, when a powerful bomb planted by ULFA militants exploded at the market of Morigaon township in central Assam today.
The bomb went off at a time when a huge crowd of people were at the market, the police said. Initial reports said two persons might have been killed, but details were awaited as the entire area had been cordoned off by the police and the Army. The daily market is only metres away from the offices of the deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police.
