PATIALA, Aug 22: The panches and sarpanches of about three dozen villages of Samana Assembly segment falling under Patiala Lok Sabha constituency have decided to support AISAD general secretary and party candidate from the Patiala Lok Sabha seat, Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra, during the elections.
An announcement to this effect was made at village Chhanna, where Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra was honoured by Jaswant Singh and his supporters and weighed against coins during a function.
The sarpanches, panches, of village Chhuerpur, Kakrala, Sainimajra, Dhablan, Bherpura, Mehmoodpur, Bishanpur Chhanna, Psharpur, Jahlan, Roauni, Dhamomajra, Dughat, Tarodhalan, Gajjumajra, Rajgarh and Dhakraba, in a meeting, decided to support Chandumajra in order to defeat the designs of the "anti-panthic forces" led by Parkash Singh Badal. They said as far as serving the people of the constituency was concerned, Chandumajra was a much better choice than all the capitalistic forces that only had their own interests at heart.
