Sachin Tendulkar has signed a three-year exclusive TV channel contract with ESPN Star Sports for brand promotion and exclusive programmes in India.
The contract was signed yesterday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at London’s Buckingham Gate, according to a release here today.
Addressing the media today, Sachin said, “I am extremely delighted to be associated with with ESPN Star Sports. Cricket is very special for me and I have seen their programmes being appreciated by cricket fans. It will help me interact with followers of the game at a very permanent level. I hope it will be an enjoyable partnership.”
He added, “I find anything to do with cricket interesting but playing cricket is my first priority. My focus will be on cricket in the field. Scoring runs is my worry, nothing else matters to me as a cricketer.”
