RAJAMUMDRY, June 16: All the 10 Naxalites charge-sheeted in the sensational IAS officers’ kidnap case, were acquitted by East Godavari district and sessions judge K Veerapu Naidu on Tuseday. The extremists were charged with kidnapping seven IAS officers from Gurtedu tribal village in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Decenber 27, 1987, demanding the release of eight of their colleagues arrested and lodged in the central jail here. Later, the state governmetn conceded to their demand.
