Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday said talks between India and Pakistan should be result oriented. “Hamare party hamesha baatcheet ke haq mein rahi hai lekin saath hee ham samajhte hain ki is baatcheet ka achha natija nikalna chahiye (The Congress has always supported talks but they should show good results,” said Sonia.
The coalition state government should fulfill the aspirations of the people, she said. “What we had promised in the Common Minimum Programme should be implemented…many things have to be done yet,’’ she said at a gathering of the Dogra Sadar Sabha. — (ENS)
