PANCHKULA, May 19: Keeping in view the increased demand of water supply, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has forbidden watering of lawns in the morning. The order comes into force with immediate effect. The authorities have also warned consumers against illegal installation of boosters on the main line.
The executive engineer of HUDA, V.P. Gupta, said that this can lead to imposition of fine and even disconnection of water supply. "The consumers are requested to do their bit by preventing wastage of water from the overhead tanks and the coolers," Gupta said.
