CHANDIGARH, MAY 18: The members of the Soil Conservation Sub Inspector’s Union, Punjab, today staged a dharna to press for their demands.

The demands of the employees include promotions, increase in the promotion quota, removing discrepencies in the salaries of the employees, change of the name of the Khetibaari-Sub-Inspector to Bhoomi-Officer, filling up of vacant posts.

The employees have threatened that they would intensify their agitation if their demands are not implemented by the government at the earliest.
