PALEMBANG, (Indonesia) DEC 20: The Silk Air flight that crashed in Sumatra with 104 people on board, exploded in the air before coming down, a resident in Sungsang, south Sumatra, said on Saturday.
“I heard the explosion around 4:30 pm (Friday, 0930 GMT),” Yani, who would only give his first name, told AFP from the local administration’s office in Sungsang. No survivors have yet been found.
