German engineering giant Siemens has won a contract worth more than 1.6 billion dollars to supply 60 high-speed ice trains to China, a business daily reported on Friday.
The deal is set to be finalised during a visit to Germany by Chinese President Hu Jintao at the end of next week, the newspaper said. Siemens has declined to comment on the report. China is curmarked 500 billion yuan (around 50 billion euros) for investment until 2010 —Agencies
