NEW DELHI, JULY 13: Manan Chandra, the national junior billiards and snooker champion, was the biggest casualty on a day of big upsets in the 8th Challenger, a part of the Pepsi Cool Pool play-offs currently being played here.

Among the shock wins was Ripu Daman who beat Rahul Chaudhary 2-0 in the final. Shah Vipul lost to Rahul Chaudhary in the first semifinals, while Daman beat Sameer Bawa in the other semifinals.

Manan Chandra lost to Ramneek Singh and Shah Vipul to finish seventh among 64 competitors, the biggest field in any tournament of the series. Other major casualties include Anuj Uppal, who lost to Chandra to finish ninth. In another big result, top ranked Manoj Tyagi failed to play to his potential and lost two straight matches to finish last.
